Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Central Texas

About them: Welcome to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Central Texas (RMHC-ACT). Due to our generous community of donors and the never-ending support we receive from our volunteers, we are able to operate a 30 bedroom Ronald McDonald House, 150 yards from the Dell Children’s Medical Center in Central Austin, and a Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside the St. David’s North Austin Medical Center. These two facilities would not run without the help of willing volunteers, community organizations, corporate donations and the funds we receive from our special events.

Our purpose in all of this is to provide lodging and support services to families with critically ill or injured children within the 46 counties surrounding Austin. Please take a moment to search this site for any information you might need about RMHC, to see what we’ve been able to do with the funding we’ve received, or to find out how you can support our mission. We look forward to serving the families and children in our community while we continue to grow our services.

Coming together, we can make a difference.

When people come together with one common purpose in mind, they can make anything happen. It is with this stubborn philosophy that we as a people have overcome some of the hardest obstacles that have been put in our path.

The time is now, for us to take stock in our lives, and determine if we are doing what is within our power and control, to help those out around us that are having it much tougher.

Each day, our goal should be to have helped one person. No matter how minute the effort, or how grand. We should strive to help one person in some way, to better their lives. And many times its as simple as showing that you care, and might have an insight into what they are going thru and can share in their tribulations and pain.
